Our Know-how
SFB33®: Solid Fermentation Biosurfactant (SFB) is composed of amphiphile compounds that contain both hydrophobic and hydrophilic groups within the molecule. The amphiphile feature of SFB can change the surface tension of bacterial cell membrane and kill the bacteria without harming lactobacillus sp. and other intestinal probiotics.
Selected probiotics: Two strains from Bacillus sp. (FMN-68, FMN-151) were selected by our R&D sector. FMN-68 and FMN-151 are proven to be heat and acid/alkali stable. During fermentation, the probiotics excrete SFB33®. In the gastrointestinal tract, probiotics can prevent pathogenic bacterial colonization.
Solid state fermentation: The condition of solid state fermentation was studied and set up by our R&D sector. The technology is protected under 3 patents. The advantage of solid state fermentation is that the entire beneficial secondary metabolism produced by the selected probiotics including SFB33® can be collected and provided to the animals.
